Player Choked His Own Teammate During an Ugly Start to March Madness
During a play-in game with little meaning for March Madness fans turned into a heated matter yesterday. This New Orleans player lost his temper and throttled the neck of his fell teammate late in the second half.
There were about six minutes left and the game was very close between New Orleans and Mount St. Mary’s. Junior Forward Travin Thibodeaux threw down a dunk and headed right for teammate Christavious Gill in the ensuing timeout. It is unclear why Thibodeaux was upset with Gill, a senior guard, but he was caught screaming at his teammate. When Gill pushed him away, Thibodeaux put his hand around Gill’s throat before coaches could break up the scuffle.

Thibodeaux, the New Orleans Privateer was benched for the rest of the game, in which New Orleans lost in a nail-biter, 67-66, ending their hopes in the NCAA Tournament.
