108 Million Americans Diet Each Year And Almost Every One Of Them Cheats
To better understand how and why people cheat, Homeruninnpizza.com surveyed 1,000 Americans and asked them what cheat foods they love the most, how often they cheat, how much they eat, and what went down on their most memorable cheat days.
Here’s the results:
Popular cheat foods include pizza (53%) salty snacks (40%) deep fried foods (39%) ice cream (33%) and chocolate (32%).
More people do full cheat days rather than single cheat meals.
The biggest reason that people cheat on their diet was pretty evenly split. Nearly half of our respondents said it was part of their diet, and the other half said they just couldn’t resist the foods they love.
1 in 5 people will spend more than $50 for the perfect cheat meal.
Women prefer chocolate, men prefer burgers, millennials prefer tacos, boomers prefer salty snacks.
48% of surveyed respondents said they cheated more than their diet allowed them to. Only 1% said they never cheated even though it was allowed within their diet.
