The cutest and sweetest “comfort dogs” are visiting Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas to give love to the survivors of the horrific shooting that occurred in Las Vegas this past Sunday.
Nineteen golden retrievers from LLC K-9 Comfort Dogs have been sent all the way from Chicago to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and their main goal is to just make these people feel loved. The victims and first responders of the Las Vegas shooting, whether they are hurting both physically and emotionally or just emotionally, need comfort right now and these sweet pups are there to help.
Petting and hugging these dogs helps people relax and breathe. The president of LLC K-9 Comfort Dogs, Tim Hetzner, claims, “Through that process they start talking about what’s happened, and talking about what’s happened is a critical part of healing.”
It’s almost like dogs know whenever you’re sad and know exactly when to come up to you and give you that little nudge that says, “I’m here for you.” I don’t know about you, but I’m giving my pup an extra big hug tonight!
